What are the government office hours?
The Utility office, which also houses the Administrator/Clerk/Treasurer is open from 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Friday. We try to stay open during the lunch hour if possible. Please call either 608-486-2151 (Utility) or 608-486-4084 - Ext 1 (Clerk) for appointments if needed.
The Police Department does not have normal office hours due to call outs, etc. If emergency, please call 911. If non-emergency, call 608-486-4276 or if no answer, call our Dispatch Center at 608-785-5942 and ask to speak with a Bangor Police Officer .
What is the recycling pick up schedule?
Garbage is picked up weekly on Monday mornings. Recycling will be picked up on every other Monday. Please place your recycling bin at the end of your driveway next to the curb. If you need a tote or have questions in regards to specific item pickup, please call Harter directly at 608-782-2082. See annual flyer under the "Services Tab" on the Home Page.
At what point is a snow emergency declared?
The Police Department and the Public Works Department will declare an emergency as deemed necessary per Emergency Management
Do I need a permit for a recreational fire?
The Village of Bangor does not allow open burning. Burning is only allowed in fire pits that coincide the Village of Bangor Ordinances. Please call 608-486-4084 for further instructions.

Who do I contact to rent a park shelter?
Please call 608-486-4084 - Ext 1 for availability. All final reservations need to be made in person with payment. Large shelter is $50 and small shelter is $30. Reservations for the upcoming year will only be accepted starting on the first business day in January of that year. Reservations are done on a first come, first serve basis. The stone shelter is not rented out.
Where do I register my dog?
A dog must be registered in the municipality in which it resides. The Village has an ordinance that states a dog must be licensed within ten (10) days of living in the Village. Licenses expire on March 31st of each year and may be purchased at the Administration/Utility office located at 106 15th Avenue North, Bangor. Rabies information must be presented at the time of licensing.
The first half is paid to the Village Treasurer by January 31st. Hours are from 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday. They can also be mailed or placed in the drop off box located at 106 15th Avenue North, Bangor, WI 54614
